NAIROBI, Kenya (Interstat) — Two sides seeking consistency will meet Tuesday when Sofapaka hosts Mara Sugar FC in a Kenyan FKF Premier League match.

The clubs enter the contest with identical 1-1-0 records in league play, though Mara Sugar has played two more matches, adding a pair of draws for a total of five points. Sofapaka sits with three points from its two outings.

Sofapaka is coming off a 13-day break following a 2-1 road victory over Murang’a SEAL on Oct. 15. Batoto ba Mungu followed an opening-day draw with a 1-0 home loss to Kakamega Homeboyz before their last win.

Mara Sugar, meanwhile, is unbeaten in its last three matches across all competitions. They played to a scoreless draw with Bidco United on Friday. Their form has been defined by stalemates, with three of their four league matches ending in draws, including a 2-1 win over Ulinzi Stars on Oct. 5 as their only victory.

The matchup presents a contrast in schedules. Sofapaka has been idle, while Mara Sugar faces a quick turnaround before hosting Bandari FC on Friday. Sofapaka’s next match is a road fixture against Nairobi United FC on Saturday.

The game is scheduled for a 3 p.m. local time kickoff on Tuesday, Oct. 28.
