SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Interstat) — Sacramento Republic FC and Orange County SC played to a 0-0 draw in a USL Championship match Sunday at Heart Health Park. The match, which defied Interstat’s projection of a 1-1 result, was a physical affair that saw two red cards and seven yellow cards issued.

The game turned in second-half stoppage time when Sacramento’s Rodrigo López and Orange County’s Chris Hegardt were both sent off with straight red cards in the 105+3 minute. Despite numerous players recording assists in the statsheet, neither side could break the deadlock. Both clubs move to 0-0-1 records to start their league campaigns.
