NAPLES, Fla. (Interstat) — FC Naples and Union Omaha opened their USL League One seasons with a 0-0 draw Saturday at Paradise Coast Sports Complex. The match, a defensive stalemate, defied pregame projections that heavily favored a Union Omaha victory. The Interstat game simulator had predicted a 1-1 result, and its ELO system gave Union Omaha a 63.3 percent chance to win. The contest was physical, featuring six yellow cards issued throughout the match. The result leaves both clubs with identical 0-0-1 records to start the campaign across all competitions.
