Elgin City vs Stirling Albion FC

ELGIN, Scotland (Interstat) — Elgin City will host Stirling Albion FC in a Scottish Cup match this Saturday, with both sides looking to build on narrow victories from their previous outings.

The matchup at Borough Briggs pits a home side seeking consistency against a visiting squad riding the momentum of a high-scoring win.

Stirling Albion arrives following a dramatic 4-3 away victory over Caledonian Braves on Oct. 25. Elgin City also secured a result on that date, edging Deveronvale LFC 2-1 at home.

However, Elgin City’s form has been mixed throughout the 2025 season. The club has shown resilience with a 1-0 road win against Cove Rangers on Sept. 6 and a 3-1 victory at Dundee Utd B on Aug. 26. But those results are bookended by heavy defeats, including an 8-0 home loss to Saint Johnstone on July 26 and a 5-1 defeat to Raith Rovers on July 12.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, the contest is projected to be a tightly fought affair, ending in a 2-2 draw. The prediction suggests Stirling Albion’s potent attack, evidenced by their four-goal performance last month, will be met by an Elgin City side capable of finding the net at home.

Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025.
