MATURÍN, Venezuela (Interstat) — Juan Villalobos scored in the 80th minute to deliver Monagas a 1-0 victory over Zamora in a Venezuelan Primera División match on Saturday. The decisive goal at Estadio Monumental broke a deadlock in a contest where the home side was favored. The match turned chippy late, with Monagas playing a man down after Eduardo Anderson received a second yellow card in the 88th minute, just two minutes after Zamora’s Pedro Álvarez was booked. The win improves Monagas’ league record, while Zamora’s struggles continue.
