BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (Interstat) — A surging Lanus squad will look to continue its climb up the Primera Nacional table when it visits rival Banfield on Monday.

Lanus (8-4-3) enters the match in strong form, having won its last three league contests, including a 2-0 victory over Godoy Cruz on Oct. 17. The team has lost only once in its last 10 matches across all competitions, compiling an 11-4-3 overall record.

Banfield (6-5-3), meanwhile, has been inconsistent. While the team is coming off a 2-1 win over Indep Rivadavia on Oct. 18, that victory was preceded by a 3-1 loss to Racing Club and a 1-0 defeat to Huracan. Banfield’s overall record this season stands at 15-18-8.
