Aldosivi vs Indep Rivadavia

MAR DEL PLATA, Argentina (Interstat) — Two struggling sides will seek a rare victory when Aldosivi hosts Independiente Rivadavia in a Primera Nacional match on Saturday.

The matchup at Estadio José María Minella features two teams mired near the bottom of Argentina’s second division. Both clubs have managed just two wins each in league play this season. Aldosivi sits at 2-9-3, while Independiente Rivadavia is 2-6-5.

Recent form offers little confidence for either side. Aldosivi is coming off a 1-0 loss to Racing Club on Oct. 17. Its last win was a 2-0 victory over Huracán on Oct. 12.

Independiente Rivadavia fell 2-1 to Banfield in its last outing on Oct. 18. The team has shown a tendency for draws, with four of its last five matches across all competitions ending level, including three consecutive 0-0 results prior to the Banfield loss.

The broader season statistics paint a bleak picture for both clubs. Across all competitions, Aldosivi holds a 6-24-14 record. Independiente Rivadavia has fared slightly better at 13-14-14.

According to the Interstat game simulator, the most likely outcome is a 1-1 draw, a result that would do little to boost either team’s standing.

Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday afternoon in Mar del Plata.
