MIDDELFART, Denmark (Interstat) — Hobro opened its Danish 2. Division season with a 1-0 road victory over Middelfart on Saturday, March 21, 2026, defying pregame projections.

Playing at Middelfart Stadion, the visitors secured the win with a 25th-minute goal from substitute Théo Hansen. The lone score held despite a 78th-minute yellow card shown to Hobro’s Christian Enemark.

The result marked a successful start for Hobro, which improved to 1-0 in league play. Middelfart fell to 0-1. The outcome contradicted a Interstat game simulator that had projected a 2-1 Middelfart victory, though the same service’s ELO system gave Hobro a 70.2% win probability.
