MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay (Interstat) — City Torque delivered a stunning 5-0 victory over Progreso on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, at Parque Abraham Paladino, emphatically defying a pregame projection of a 1-1 draw. The visitors dominated the Primera División match from the start, with Esteban Obregón opening the scoring in the 20th minute. Pablo Neris then scored twice, finding the net in the 41st and 68th minutes, before Nahuel Da Silva capped the rout with a goal in first-half stoppage time. The lopsided result gave City Torque a win in its season opener while handing Progreso a loss to start the campaign. Interstat’s ELO system had given City Torque a 57.7 percent chance to win.
