KIGALI, Rwanda (Interstat) — APR FC looks to maintain its position near the top of the National Soccer League table when it hosts a struggling Etincelles side on Tuesday.

The match at Kigali Pele Stadium pits a title-contending APR squad against an Etincelles team mired in a lengthy winless streak. According to Interstat’s game simulator, the home side is projected to secure a 2-0 victory.

APR (7-3-2) enters the contest following a 1-1 draw with AS Kigali FC last Friday. Despite that result, the military-backed club has shown strong form, including a 3-0 rout of rival Rayon Sports and a 2-1 comeback victory over Marine FC in recent weeks.

Etincelles (1-9-1) arrives in the capital desperate for a win, having drawn its last five matches. Its most recent result was a 1-1 stalemate with Mukura on Friday. The team’s last victory was a 4-0 win over Rutsiro on Oct. 4, with its only other win this season coming against Rayon Sports on the same day.

Etincelles will look to its defense, which has secured four clean sheets this season, to stifle APR’s attack. Following Tuesday’s match, APR will host Police on Saturday, while Etincelles travels to face Kiyovu Sports on Dec. 7.
