Kariobangi Sharks vs Murang'a SEAL
AP Sports Preview
NAIROBI, Kenya (Interstat) — Kariobangi Sharks host Murang’a SEAL on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in an FKF Premier League matchup carrying significant implications for both sides as the season nears its climax.
Kariobangi Sharks enter the contest seeking a reversal of fortunes after a 1-0 loss to Mara Sugar FC on April 18. That defeat extended a rocky stretch for the Sharks, who have gone winless in their last three league matches (0-1-2) since a 2-1 victory over Shabana on March 15. The Sharks have struggled to generate consistent offense, tallying just two goals in their last five outings. Their defense, however, has kept them competitive, conceding only four goals in that span.
Murang’a SEAL arrives having dropped a 4-2 decision to Nairobi United FC on April 19. The result was a continuation of a difficult run for the visitors, who have lost four of their past five league matches. Their lone bright spot in that stretch was a 2-1 victory at Sofapaka on Feb. 15. Offensive struggles have plagued Murang’a SEAL, who have managed just three goals in their last six games while conceding 10.
The teams played to a 0-0 draw in their most recent meeting on Nov. 30, 2025. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 1-1 draw.
Kariobangi Sharks sit mid-table but face a crucial upcoming schedule, beginning with a match at Police on May 1. Murang’a SEAL, fighting to climb the standings, will host Gor Mahia on May 3.
Kickoff is set for Saturday at the Kariobangi Sports Complex.
