NAIROBI, Kenya (Interstat) — Two sides seeking momentum will clash Saturday when Nairobi United FC hosts Sofapaka in a FKF Premier League fixture.

The match pits two clubs with identical overall records this season at 1-1-1, though Sofapaka holds a slight edge in league play with a 1-1-2 record compared to Nairobi United’s 1-1-1. Both teams are looking to build consistency early in the campaign.

Sofapaka enters the contest unbeaten in its last two outings, coming off a 2-2 draw with Mara Sugar FC on Tuesday. Their most recent victory was a 2-1 win at Murang’a SEAL on Oct. 15.

Nairobi United, meanwhile, looks to rebound from a 1-0 loss to Bidco United on Oct. 6, which snapped a brief winning streak that included a 1-0 victory at Mara Sugar FC on Oct. 1. The extended break since their last match could provide a freshness advantage for the home side.

According to the Interstat game simulator, Sofapaka is projected to secure a narrow 1-0 victory on the road.

Following this match, Sofapaka will host AP’s Bomet FC on Nov. 28, while Nairobi United’s next fixture is a home match against the same Bomet FC side on Nov. 24.
