RIGA, Latvia (Interstat) — Substitute Vladislavs Sorokins scored in the seventh minute to give visiting Liepaja an early lead in a 2-1 victory over Auda in a Latvian 1. Liga match Monday at Stadions Skonto.

Fellow substitute Djibril Guèye doubled Liepaja’s advantage in the 20th minute. Auda’s Deniss Melniks cut the deficit in the 75th minute, but the home side could not find an equalizer. The match was a physical affair, resulting in six yellow cards.
