CHISINAU, Moldova (Interstat) — FC Zimbru Chisinau looks to translate its strong domestic form into a deep Cupa Moldovei run when it hosts Universitatea Agrară in a second-round match Tuesday.

Zimbru enters the contest unbeaten in its last 14 matches across all competitions, though it has drawn its last three. The club most recently played to a 2-2 draw with Dacia-Buiucani on Saturday. Prior to that, Zimbru recorded clean-sheet victories over top-tier sides FC Sheriff Tiraspol and FC Milsami Orhei.

Universitatea Agrară, a lower-division side, will be a significant underdog. Its last recorded match was a 6-1 friendly victory over FC Constructorul Leova on Oct. 1. The team has not played a competitive fixture this season.

The statistical service Interstat projects a 4-1 victory for the home side.

The winner will advance to the next round of Moldova’s primary domestic cup competition. Zimbru’s schedule does not ease up, with a league match against Spartanii Selemet looming on Saturday.
