THIMPHU, Bhutan (Interstat) — A clash of Bhutanese titans is set for Monday as Thimphu City hosts rival Paro in a Premier League match with major title implications.

Paro enters the match as the heavy favorite, boasting a dominant 22-1 record in league play. Their only loss across all competitions this season was a 2-0 defeat to Royal Thimphu Co on Sept. 15. Since that setback, Paro has won five straight matches, including a 2-1 victory over Transport United on Sept. 24.

Thimphu City, at 18-4 in the league, is the only other team with a realistic chance of challenging for the championship. They are riding a wave of momentum after a 4-2 win over Transport United on Sept. 28.

The recent history between these two sides favors the visitors. In their last meeting on July 6, Paro secured a 2-1 home victory. A statistical projection from Interstat forecasts an identical 2-1 outcome for Paro in this contest.
