HEIDENHEIM, Germany (Interstat) — Mainz 05 II defeated Heidenheim 2-0 on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Voith-Arena in a Bundesliga match.

Phillip Tietz, a substitute, opened the scoring in the seventh minute. Nadiem Amiri, also a substitute, doubled the lead in the 43rd minute. Eren Dinkci assisted Tietz, and Sheraldo Becker assisted Amiri. Both assists came from substitutes as well.

Mainz 05 II improved to 1-0 in Bundesliga competition and across all competitions. Heidenheim fell to 0-1 in both.

Yellow cards were issued in the 70th minute to Dinkci and Becker.

Heidenheim’s attack could not break through Mainz’s defense. The home side created several chances but failed to convert any.

The result gave Mainz its first win of the season. Heidenheim will seek to rebound in its next fixture.
