BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (Interstat) — A Copa Argentina clash on Thursday pits two Argentine Primera División sides in contrasting form as Belgrano hosts an undefeated Argentinos Juniors in the domestic cup competition.

The match, scheduled for Oct. 23, 2025, features a visiting Argentinos Jrs squad that has been perfect in the Copa Argentina, boasting a 4-0 record. Their overall season form is also strong at 21-10-13 across all competitions. They enter the fixture with momentum after a decisive 3-1 victory over Newell’s Old Boys last Friday.

Belgrano, the home side, holds a 5-1 record in the tournament but is looking to rebound from a disappointing 2-0 loss to lower-tier side Guillermo Brown this past Sunday. That result followed a notable 2-1 win over Boca Juniors, highlighting the team’s unpredictable nature. Their overall record stands at 15-12-16.

The most recent head-to-head meeting between the clubs ended in a 1-1 draw on April 26, 2025. According to the Interstat game simulator, another 1-1 draw is the most likely outcome for Thursday’s fixture.

The match will be a test of Argentinos Jrs’ flawless cup run against a Belgrano side that has shown it can defeat giants like Boca, but also suffer surprising defeats.
