AMBATO, Ecuador (Interstat) — Two of the Liga Pro’s bottom-half clubs will meet Saturday when Mushuc Runa hosts Manta in an Ecuadorian top-flight match.

The matchup at the Estadio Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Mushuc Runa pits two struggling sides. Both teams have managed just five wins in league play this season. Mushuc Runa sits at 5-15-9, while Manta is 5-13-10. Their form across all competitions is similarly challenging.

Mushuc Runa enters with momentum from a 2-1 victory over C.A. V.I. last Saturday. Manta is also coming off a win, having defeated Tecnico Universitario 2-0 on Oct. 19.

The recent head-to-head series is split. Manta won 2-1 at home on May 10, but Mushuc Runa responded with a 2-0 home victory in the most recent encounter on Aug. 30.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, the most likely outcome for Saturday’s contest is a 1-1 draw. The match is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025.
