Haras El Hodood SC vs Pyramids

Pyramids Seeks Rebound Against Struggling Haras El Hodood in Egyptian Premier League

CAIRO (Interstat) — Pyramids FC looks to bounce back from a derby defeat when it visits relegation-threatened Haras El Hodood SC in the Egyptian Premier League on Thursday.

The match at Haras El Hodood Stadium kicks off at 7 p.m. local time (1700 GMT).

Pyramids (10-6-8) enters the contest after a narrow 1-0 home loss to rival Zamalek SC on Sunday. That result snapped a modest two-game winning streak in league play. Prior to the Zamalek defeat, Pyramids had shown improved form with victories over Ghazl El Mahalla SC (3-1) and Ceramica Cleopatra (1-0).

However, consistency has been an issue. The club’s recent results include a shocking 7-0 loss to Petrojet in January and a 4-0 defeat to Wadi Degla, highlighting a volatile season.

Haras El Hodood (3-8-13) sits near the bottom of the table and is desperate for points. It has lost three of its last four matches, most recently a 1-0 defeat to Tala’ea El Gaish on Saturday. Its only win in the last two months was a 1-0 result against ENPPI on Feb. 24.

Offensive struggles define Haras El Hodood’s season. The team has been shut out in seven of its last 11 matches across all competitions and has not scored more than two goals in any game this campaign.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, Pyramids is projected to win 2-1.

Pyramids will be heavily favored based on table position and talent, but must overcome the psychological blow of the Zamalek loss. Haras El Hodood will rely on a defensive setup and hope to capitalize on set pieces or counter-attacks.

Pyramids faces a quick turnaround, with its next match at National Bank of Egypt Club on Monday in league play.
