CAIRO (Interstat) — ENPPI opened its Egyptian Premier League season with a 1-0 upset victory over favored Zamalek SC on Wednesday at Arab Contractors Stadium.

The lone goal came from midfielder Ahmed Al Agouz, assisted by defender Ahmed Sabiha. The result defied pre-match projections that heavily favored Zamalek. The visiting side, which finished with three yellow cards, failed to find an equalizer despite its favored status.

The win gives ENPPI a perfect start in league play, while Zamalek begins its campaign with a defeat. Both teams’ early season records now mirror this single result across all competitions.
