Pyramids Edges ENPPI in Egyptian Premier League Opener
CAIRO (Interstat) — Naser Maher scored twice to lead Pyramids FC to a 2-1 victory over ENPPI in an Egyptian Premier League match Wednesday at Petrosport Stadium.
Maher opened the scoring in the 24th minute. ENPPI’s Aqtay Abdallah equalized just before halftime in the 47th, assisted by Rafik Kabou. Maher secured the win with his second goal late in the match. Pyramids substitute Ahmed Atef received a red card in the 77th minute. Five other players were shown yellow cards.
The result gave Pyramids a winning start to the league campaign, while ENPPI began with a loss. The outcome defied a pregame projection that had favored a draw.
