Nomme Kalju vs Viimsi JK
TALLINN, Estonia (Interstat) — A spot in the next round of the Estonian Cup is on the line Thursday when domestic rivals Nomme Kalju host Viimsi JK.
Both sides enter the knockout fixture with perfect records in this season’s Cup competition. The visiting Viimsi JK are 2-0-0, while the home side Nomme Kalju hold a 1-0-0 record.
Recent form, however, presents a contrasting picture. Viimsi JK’s undefeated start to the season across all competitions ended Monday with a 2-1 home loss to FCI Levadia. Prior to that, they opened their campaign with a dominant 7-1 victory over TalTech JK on July 10.
Nomme Kalju arrives with momentum from a 1-0 road win against Kuressaare in domestic league play on Saturday. Their overall form has been mixed, with a record of 2-1-0 in all competitions this season. That lone loss was a 1-0 defeat to Ireland’s St Patrick’s Athletic in a European qualifier in July.
According to the Interstat game simulator, the match is projected to end in a 1-1 draw, potentially forcing extra time or penalties to decide which club advances.
The match is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, at Nomme Kalju’s home ground.
