WUHAN, China (Interstat) — Shandong Taishan opened its Chinese Super League season with a commanding 5-1 victory over Wuhan San Zhen FC on Saturday at Wuhan Sports Center Stadium.

Zeca opened the scoring in the 38th minute, followed quickly by a Liu Yang goal in first-half stoppage time. Vako Qazaishvili, Min Zixi and Cryzan added second-half goals to complete the rout. The lopsided result exceeded the pregame projection, as statistical models heavily favored Shandong Taishan to win.

The victory gives Shandong Taishan a 1-0 start to the CSL campaign, while Wuhan San Zhen FC begins the season 0-1.
