Yunnan Yukun Routs Meizhou Hakka in CSL Match Behind Pedro’s Second-Half Brace
MEIZHOU, China (Interstat) — Yunnan Yukun FC dominated the second half to defeat Meizhou Hakka 4-1 in the Chinese Super League on Friday at Huitang Stadium. Substitute Pedro scored twice in the rout, finding the net in the 58th and 80th minutes. Teammates Nené and Dilimulati Maolaniyazi also scored in a rapid six-goal flurry after halftime, with Yunnan’s four goals coming in a 27-minute span. Meizhou’s lone reply came from defender Yang Ruiqi in the 85th minute. The victory defied a pregame projection that gave Yunnan Yukun a 75 percent chance to win but only by a 2-1 scoreline. The result leaves both teams at the start of their CSL campaign.
