BRUSSELS (Interstat) — Belgian Cup play resumes Wednesday as RWDM Brussels, riding high from a dominant opening victory, travels to face top-flight side KRC Genk.

The match at Cegeka Arena pits a confident RWDM squad against a Genk team yet to begin its competitive campaign this season. RWDM Brussels enters the contest with a 1-0 record in the Cup and across all competitions following a 4-2 road win against Dessel Sport on Sept. 6. Key contributors in that victory included forwards Mats Van Ballaer and midfielders Sverre Piedfort and Seppe Geukens.

Conversely, Genk’s form is a mystery. The club has yet to record a result in the 2025-26 season, holding an 0-0 record in both the Cup and all competitions. Their most recent official match data is unavailable.

According to the Interstat game simulator, RWDM is projected to continue its winning ways with a narrow 1-0 victory. A win for the visitors would signal a significant cup upset against their more established Pro League opponents.

Kickoff is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, in Genk.
