MECHELEN, Belgium (Interstat) — A Belgian Cup tie on Tuesday pits second-division rivals Yellow-Red KV Mechelen against Lierse in a match with contrasting early-season form.

Lierse enters the contest at the AFAS Stadion with momentum, holding a 1-0 record in the cup competition following a 2-0 victory over Merelbeke on Sept. 7. Midfielder Nasseredine Mazouz and defenders Wout Vrijens and Constant Vande Velde were key contributors in that win. The visitors are also 1-0 across all competitions this season.

The home side, Yellow-Red KV Mechelen, has yet to record a win this season, standing at 0-0 in the cup and 0-0 in all matches. Their form remains a question mark.

According to the Interstat game simulator, Lierse is projected to advance with a narrow 1-0 victory.

The match is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025.
