YEREVAN, Armenia (Interstat) — A historic Armenian Cup matchup is set for Thursday as Syunik FA hosts Kilikia in a rare competitive fixture between the two sides.

The match, to be played October 30, 2025, pits a Syunik FA squad carrying positive momentum against a Kilikia team returning from a lengthy hiatus. Syunik FA enters the contest with a 1-0 record in the cup competition following a 3-1 victory over Hayq on Sept. 16. Their overall form mirrors that success.

Kilikia, by contrast, has yet to play a match this season in any competition. The club’s most recent recorded result was a 1-0 defeat to Pyunik on Nov. 14, 2010, a gap of nearly 15 years.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, Syunik FA is projected to dominate, with a predicted final score of 4-0.

The match will be Kilikia’s first test in the 2025 Armenian Cup, while Syunik FA looks to build on its early success and advance in the tournament.
