YEREVAN, Armenia (Interstat) — Urartu delivered a commanding performance Tuesday, routing visiting Van 4-0 in an Armenian Cup match at Urartu Stadium. Edik Vardanyan opened the scoring with a goal in first-half stoppage time, setting the tone for a lopsided contest. The decisive victory far exceeded the pregame projection from Interstat, which gave Urartu a 77% chance to win but forecast only a 1-0 result. With the win, Urartu begins its campaign in the domestic cup with a 1-0 record, while Van starts the competition at 0-1.
