SOFIA, Bulgaria (Interstat) — A Bulgarian Cup matchup on Wednesday pits an undefeated Zagorets against a streaky FK Botev Vratsa, with a spot in the next round on the line.

Zagorets enters the contest with a perfect 3-0-0 record in the domestic cup competition and is undefeated across all competitions this season at 3-0-3. Their form, however, is difficult to gauge as their most recent match was a 2-0 loss to Sayana Haskovo on Sept. 20. Prior to that, they posted consecutive 3-0 victories over Rozova Dolina in early September.

FK Botev Vratsa, competing in the Bulgarian First League, brings a more volatile 4-4-3 overall record into the cup tie. They are 0-0-0 in the cup so far. The visitors are coming off a confidence-boosting 2-1 home victory over Septemvri Sofia this past Saturday. Their recent results have been a mixed bag, however, including a 3-0 loss to Lokomotiv Plovdiv on Oct. 17.

According to the Interstat game simulator, the projected final score is a narrow 1-0 victory for the home side, Zagorets.

Following the cup match, FK Botev Vratsa returns to league play, hosting FK CSKA 1948 Sofia on Nov. 3.
