MANAMA, Bahrain (Interstat) — A pair of Bahraini clubs seeking momentum will meet Friday when Al Ahli hosts Bahrain SC in a Premier League fixture.

The match at Al Ahli’s home ground pits two teams struggling to find consistency this season. Al Ahli enters the contest with a 2-3 record in league play, while Bahrain SC sits at 1-5. Their overall records across all competitions mirror those marks.

Al Ahli is looking to rebound from a 1-1 draw with Malkiya on Oct. 30. Their recent form has been a mix of results, including a 2-0 victory over Al Shabab on Oct. 19 and a 4-2 win against Al Najma on Oct. 3. However, they have also suffered shutout losses to top sides like Al Hidd and Muharraq.

Bahrain SC arrives with a measure of confidence after snapping a five-game losing streak with a 1-0 home victory over A’ali CSC on Oct. 30. Prior to that win, their defense had been a significant concern, conceding four goals in losses to Al Khaldiya and Budaiya, and three goals to both Al Hidd and Sitra.
