MANAMA, Bahrain (Interstat) — Sami Al Husaini scored in the 90th minute to lift Bahrain SC to a 1-0 victory over A’ali CSC in a Premier League match on Thursday. The dramatic winner at Sheikh Ali bin Mohammed Stadium secured three points for the hosts to open their season. The result defied a pre-game projection from Interstat, which gave Bahrain SC a 63% chance to win but had simulated a 1-0 victory for the visitors. With the loss, A’ali CSC begins its campaign 0-1, while Bahrain SC starts 1-0.
