NEULENGBACH, Austria (Interstat) — Stefanie Großgasteiger scored deep in second-half stoppage time to give Sturm Graz W a 1-0 victory over Neulengbach W in an Austrian Frauenliga match Saturday at Wienerwaldstadion.

The contest appeared destined for a draw until Großgasteiger’s decisive strike in the 94th minute. The match turned in the 70th minute when Neulengbach’s Anna Holl received a red card, forcing the home side to play a woman down. Sturm Graz’s Laura Krumböck received a yellow card in the 87th minute.

The win improves Sturm Graz’s Frauenliga record to 10 wins, six losses and one draw this season. Neulengbach’s record in the competition fell to three wins, 10 losses and two draws. The result defied a pregame statistical projection that favored Neulengbach.
