The home side’s victory outpaced the projection from Interstat, which had given Liverpool a 77.7% chance to win and simulated a 2-1 final score. Nicolás Olivera opened the scoring for Liverpool in the 44th minute. Manuel Castro added a second goal in the 67th minute to extend the lead before Progreso found a late consolation.
