PLOIESTI, Romania (Interstat) — Petrolul Ploiești will host Univ. Craiova in the Romanian Cup on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, with the visitors entering in potent attacking form.

Univ. Craiova arrives following a decisive 4-1 away victory over Sănătatea Darabani on Oct. 29. That win is part of a strong recent offensive stretch, which also includes a two-legged triumph over Istanbul Basaksehir in August, scoring five total goals across those matches.

Petrolul Ploiești, the home side, is coming off a 1-1 draw with UTA Arad on Oct. 30. Its most recent victory was a 2-1 away win at FC Politehnica Iași on Aug. 27.
