ARAD, Romania (Interstat) — Two undefeated sides will clash Thursday when UTA Arad hosts Petrolul Ploiești in a Cupa României round of 32 match.

The fixture at Stadionul Francisc von Neuman pits a pair of teams with perfect records in this season’s Romanian Cup. UTA Arad enters the match with a 2-0-0 record in the competition, while Petrolul Ploiești stands at 1-0-0. Both clubs are also unbeaten across all competitions this season.

UTA Arad comes off a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Liga I powerhouse CFR Cluj on Sept. 21, a result that showcased their resilience. Prior to that, they secured a 2-0 victory over CSA Steaua București in the cup on Aug. 26.

Petrolul Ploiești last played on Aug. 27, earning a 2-1 win against FC Politehnica Iași to advance in this tournament.

According to the Interstat game simulator, UTA Arad is projected to win a narrow 1-0 contest. The winner of Thursday’s match will advance to face either Universitatea Craiova or Sănătatea Darabani in the next round.
