BOUNDARY PARK, England (Interstat) — Michael Mellon recorded a first-half hat trick to power Oldham Athletic AFC to a 3-1 upset victory over Northampton Town W in the Women’s FA Cup on Saturday.

Mellon scored just three minutes into the match, added another a minute later and completed his hat trick in the 50th minute. Substitute Cameron McGeehan scored a consolation goal for Northampton Town in stoppage time. The result was a surprise after Interstat’s projection system gave Northampton Town a 60.1 percent probability to win.
