BIRKENHEAD, England (Interstat) — A Women’s FA Cup first-round fixture on Saturday pits two sides seeking their first competitive win of the season as Tranmere Rovers hosts Stockport County W at Prenton Park.

Both clubs enter the cup tie with identical 0-0-2 records across all competitions this season. Their Women’s FA Cup records also mirror each other, with neither side having played a match in the competition yet, standing at 0-0-0.

The visitors from Stockport, however, carry significant momentum from their most recent outing. On Sept. 21, Stockport County W delivered a dominant 6-1 victory over Doncaster Belles W. Their other result this season was a 1-1 draw with Liverpool Feds W on Aug. 20.

Tranmere Rovers’ form is less clear, as their most recent recorded match was a 2-2 draw with Penrith that occurred nearly a full year ago, on Oct. 13, 2024.

According to the Interstat game simulator, Stockport County W is projected to continue its scoring form with a narrow 2-1 victory. The simulation suggests Tranmere will find the net but ultimately fall short against a Stockport attack that recently proved its potency.

Kickoff is set for Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025.
