LONDONDERRY, Northern Ireland (Interstat) — A clash of early Women’s Premiership League Cup unbeatens is set for Tuesday as Coleraine FC hosts Armagh City at The Showgrounds.

Both sides enter the group stage match with identical 1-0-0 records in the competition. The matchup pits Coleraine’s dominant defense against Armagh City’s high-powered attack.

Coleraine is riding high after an 8-0 thrashing of Dollingstown in its League Cup opener on Oct. 7, showcasing a formidable offense to complement a defense that has yet to concede a goal across all competitions this season.

Armagh City, however, presents the sternest test of Coleraine’s young campaign. Armagh is a perfect 2-0-0 across all competitions, averaging 4.5 goals per game. Its most recent result was a 3-2 victory over Carrick Rangers on Oct. 7, preceded by a 6-2 win over Queen’s University in August.

Despite Armagh’s prolific scoring form, Interstat’s game simulator projects a 3-0 victory for the home side, highlighting Coleraine’s defensive solidity as the key factor.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:45 p.m. local time.
