S’frecce Hiroshima Dominates Urawa Reds in J1 League Opener

HIROSHIMA, Japan (Interstat) — S’frecce Hiroshima opened its J1 League season with a commanding 3-0 victory over Urawa Reds on Saturday at Edion Peace Wing Hiroshima. The home side outperformed projections after Interstat’s game simulator had forecast a 1-1 draw. Kosuke Kinoshita opened the scoring in the 43rd minute before Mutsuki Katō and substitute Yōichi Naganuma added second-half goals. The win gives Hiroshima a perfect start in league play, while Urawa Reds, who defeated Cerezo Osaka 2-0 in their previous match, began their campaign with a loss. Hiroshima’s ELO probability to win was 67 percent.
