TOKYO (Interstat) — Tokyo Verdy and Avispa Fukuoka played to a 0-0 draw in the J1 League on Saturday at Ajinomoto Stadium. The result left both sides level on points in the league table.

The match was a physical affair, producing four yellow cards. Yuta Arai, Kazuki Fujimoto, Yuan Matsuhashi and Hiroto Taniguchi were all booked for their sides in a game where defensive discipline overshadowed attacking prowess.

The stalemate extended Avispa Fukuoka’s unbeaten streak to three matches. Both teams will conclude their league campaigns on Nov. 30, with Tokyo Verdy hosting Kashima Antlers and Avispa Fukuoka at home against Gamba Osaka.
