Ordino vs Carroi
Preview: Ordino Hosts Carroi in Andorran 1a Divisió Clash
ANDORRA LA VELLA, Andorra (Interstat) — A tightly contested Andorran 1a Divisió matchup is set for Sunday when Ordino hosts Carroi.
The head-to-head series has been one of clear home dominance this season. On Nov. 9, Ordino secured a 3-1 home victory over Carroi. Just over a month later, on Dec. 20, Carroi returned the favor with a 3-1 win on its own pitch.
Entering the match, both sides are seeking consistency.
Ordino (2-7-3) comes off a scoreless draw against league-leading AC d’Escaldes on March 22, a respectable result. However, its form has been mixed, with just one win in its last five league matches. Its attack has been stifled lately, failing to score in three of its last four outings.
Carroi (2-6-5) is mired in a more pronounced offensive drought. It also played to a 0-0 draw on March 22, against FC Santa Coloma. That result snapped a three-game losing streak, but the team has failed to score in five consecutive matches across all competitions. Its last goal came in a 4-1 loss to Esper Andorra on March 8.
The statistical projection service Interstat forecasts a reversal of recent trends, simulating a 2-1 victory for the home side.
Sunday’s game represents a critical opportunity for both clubs to build momentum ahead of the final stretch of the season. For Carroi, breaking its lengthy scoring drought is the immediate priority. For Ordino, replicating its home success from November against the same opponent could provide a vital boost.
Following this match, Ordino will travel to face IC d’Escaldes on April 19. Carroi will host Ranger’s on the same date.
