LEUMEAH, Australia (Interstat) — Western Sydney W delivered a stunning 4-0 away victory over Macarthur in an A-League match on Saturday, defying pregame projections.

The visitors dominated at Campbelltown Sports Stadium, scoring early and often. Steven Ugarkovic opened the scoring in the sixth minute, followed by Bozhidar Kraev in the 24th. Ryan Fraser added a third just before halftime, and Brandon Borrello completed the rout in the 70th minute. Substitute Jacob Farrell provided an assist.

The lopsided result avenged a 1-0 home loss to Macarthur on Jan. 1. Pregame analytics heavily favored Macarthur, but Western Sydney W controlled the match throughout. Four yellow cards were issued in a chippy second half.

The win improves Western Sydney W’s A-League record. Macarthur’s struggles continue as it failed to capitalize on its home pitch.
