Substitutes Spark Falkirk to Season-Opening Victory Over Livingston

LIVINGSTON, Scotland (Interstat) — Falkirk FC opened its Scottish Premiership campaign with a 2-1 road victory over Livingston on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, at The Home of the Set Fare Arena.

Substitute Kyrell Wilson led the comeback for the visitors, scoring in the sixth minute and assisting on Louie Marsh’s go-ahead goal in the 25th. Connor McLennan pulled one back for the home side just before halftime in the 47th, but Livingston could not find an equalizer.

The match featured eight yellow cards, with Falkirk’s Wilson booked in the 37th minute. The result defied a pregame projection from Interstat, which gave Falkirk a 69.6% probability to win but simulated a 2-2 draw. Falkirk begins the league season 1-0, while Livingston starts 0-1.
