Hibernian vs Celtic

EDINBURGH (Interstat) — Hibernian and Celtic will meet in a Scottish Premiership clash on Sunday, a rematch of their scoreless draw from September.

The match at Easter Road pits a surging Celtic side against a Hibernian club looking to rebound from a midweek defeat. Celtic (8-2-3) enters with momentum from a 3-1 road victory over Feyenoord in European competition on Thursday. They are unbeaten in their last four domestic matches, including a 1-0 win at St. Mirren last Saturday.

Hibernian (5-3-5), however, is coming off a 2-0 loss at Motherwell on Tuesday, which snapped a two-game winning streak. Their form at home has been strong, with three wins and a draw in their last four matches at Easter Road.

The head-to-head matchup has been a defensive stalemate recently, with the teams playing to a 0-0 draw at Celtic Park on Sept. 27. Breaking that deadlock will be a key objective for a Celtic attack that has scored three or more goals in three of its last five league games.

According to the Interstat game simulator, Celtic is projected to secure a 2-1 victory.

Following this contest, Celtic faces a congested schedule, including a crucial Europa League fixture against AS Roma on Dec. 11. Hibernian’s next match is at home against Falkirk FC on Dec. 6.
