METHIL, Scotland (April 11, 2026) (Interstat) — East Fife opened its Scottish League One campaign with a 2-1 victory over Peterhead at MGM Timber Bayview Stadium on Saturday.

Defender Brian Easton headed the hosts in front in the 17th minute. Peterhead substitute Craig McGuffie leveled the match in the 56th, but East Fife responded quickly. Sam Culbert restored the lead just eight minutes later, sealing the three points.

The result defied pre-match projections from Interstat, which gave Peterhead a slight probability to win and forecast a 1-1 draw. The match featured eight yellow cards, five shown after the equalizer in a tense second half.
