STENHOUSEMUIR, Scotland (Jan. 10, 2026) (Interstat) — Stenhousemuir opened its League One season with a dominant 5-0 victory over East Fife at Ochilview Park on Saturday, far exceeding statistical projections.

The home side took control early with midfielder Ross Taylor scoring twice in the 34th and 40th minutes. Olly Whyte added a third before halftime in the 50th.

The second half saw further goals from Dale Carrick in the 84th minute and defender Nicky Jamieson in the 90th. Substitutes Andy Munro and Connor McManus each provided an assist.

The result defied a pre-game simulator prediction of a 1-1 draw, though statistical models heavily favored Stenhousemuir. Both Munro and McManus also received yellow cards in the second half.

The win gives Stenhousemuir a perfect start in league play, while East Fife begins its campaign with a defeat.
