Forward Matthew Aitken powered the win, scoring in the 35th minute and assisting defender Nicky Jamieson’s 80th-minute insurance goal. The result handed Queen of the South a loss in its season debut.

The match was a physical affair, producing seven yellow cards. Interstat’s pre-game metrics heavily favored Stenhousemuir, which held a 74.5% win probability, though the simulator had predicted a 1-1 draw. The Warriors’ defense secured a clean sheet to start the season perfectly.
