Clyde Shuts Out Edinburgh City in League Two Opener
EDINBURGH, Scotland (Interstat) — Clyde opened its Scottish League Two season with a 2-0 victory over Edinburgh City at Meadowbank Stadium on Saturday.
Barry Cuddihy scored just four minutes into the match, providing a decisive early lead that the visitors never relinquished. Clyde added a second goal later to secure the win. The result defied a pregame projection from Interstat, whose simulator had forecast a 1-1 draw.
The match featured three yellow cards, issued to Dylan Williams, Mark Weir and Marley Redfern. Clyde begins its league campaign at 1-0, while Edinburgh City starts 0-1. Edinburgh City’s next match is against Airdrieonians.
