YEREVAN, Armenia (Interstat) — A lopsided Armenian Premier League derby is set for Monday as first-place Urartu visits last-place Ararat.

Urartu (6-2-3) sits atop the league table and is in dominant form, coming off a 4-0 victory over Van and a 5-0 win against Shirak in its last two matches. The club has outscored opponents 15-0 in its last three games across all competitions.

In stark contrast, Ararat (0-9-3) remains the only team in the league without a victory this season. Its lone bright spot was a 3-0 win against Sardarapat in a domestic cup match last week, which snapped a six-game losing streak across all competitions.

The previous meeting between these sides on Sept. 19 was a demolition, with Urartu thrashing Ararat 6-0.

Despite the starkly different trajectories, the Interstat game simulator projects a 1-1 draw. Urartu will be heavily favored to continue its title charge, while Ararat seeks a monumental upset to salvage its dismal season.

Following this match, Urartu will visit Ararat-Armenia on Nov. 8, while Ararat will host Shirak on Nov. 9.
