VIENNA (Interstat) — England U19 and host Austria U19 played to a 1-1 draw in a UEFA U19 Championship qualification match Tuesday at Sportland Arena.

Substitute Lois Shooter opened the scoring for England in the 36th minute, but Austria’s Denise Lueger equalized just a minute later. The result leaves both teams with identical records of zero wins, zero losses and one draw in the competition. The tightly contested match defied a pregame projection that heavily favored England to win.
